The Rooster Room became something of a masterpiece for our work at the Learning Village. Not only did we match the joyful work of the Noah's Ark Room, we surpassed it thanks to the inspiration Iris brought through her visioning! Habtamu, Lavinia, and I were joined by the classroom teacher as well as two student volunteers as we created this scene of domestic animals portrayed from morning through evening. A big thank you to Ting for her careful work on the swan and ducks. Ileah brought magic to the thatch on the hut by painting it with straw dipped in brown paint!
We're thrilled with the three walls we've completed and can hardly want to make the last brushstroke the remaining outdoor mural. Even with Easter (Orthodox) feasting today we painted outside for several hours. I hope we can post final pictures before we fly out Monday night.
You ladies did a fantastic job!! It looks so colorful and beautiful and the children will love it!
